From the founder: Steady Under Pressure

Role tracks An introduction by Dr Alten du Plessis, founder of WorkSmart4Life.

The Steady Under Pressure track is for demanding seasons at work: a deadline that will not move, a heavy quarter, a role that asks a great deal. It is for the person who wants to meet that season steadily and come out of it well.

It helps you know your own nervous system and how to settle it, keep mind and body strong under pressure, and use your breath to come back to steady. These are skills and practices, not treatment.

In Steady you begin by mapping your own green, blue and red zones in My Nervous System Zones, then practise body-first ways to settle, such as The Butterfly Hug and Shake It Off, and build a Regulation Menu that suits you. RiseWell 3 starts with Where You Stand and then trains mind, heart, body and spirit: Doubt Your Doubts, the Chief Energy Officer of your own energy, food for mood and energy, and trust. You measure again at the end. Breathe Well gives you a breathing toolkit, from Box Breathing to Resonant Breathing. With the track comes the InspireWell4Life edition You Be Resilient Too, a card deck and ebook of quotes in your name on the skills and mindsets that turn a hard season into growth.

All three courses sit under Sustain, the move about energy and recovery. To start, choose Buy this track: the three courses open together in one checkout, each is yours for a year on FlourishIQ, and your personalised edition arrives by email. I suggest beginning with My Nervous System Zones, the first tool in Steady.
